Dr. Stephen Gradwohl is a native of the Kansas City area
growing up in Roeland Park and graduating from Shawnee Mission North.
He completed pre chiropractic at Johnson County Community College and
Mid America Nazarene College now Mid America Nazarene University. He
completed his chiropractic education at Cleveland Chiropractic College
in 1985 receiving a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree, graduating at
the top of his class as Summa Cum Laude. He moved to Lenexa and
established his office on Santa Fe Trail Dr. in October of 1985.
Continuing Education has always been important. Dr. Gradwohl completed
specialty programs in orthopedics with Cleveland Chiropractic College
becoming a Diplomat of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics
(D.A.B.C.O.) in 1990. He also is a Fellow of the Academy of
Chiropractic Acupuncture, through New York Chiropractic College in
1986, and completed specialty training as a Certified Chiropractic
Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.) through Northwestern Chiropractic College
in 1996.
Dr. Gradwohl has also spent postgraduate education in Nutrition, and Specialty Training in Carpal Tunnel diagnosis and treatment. Most recently Dr. Gradwohl has completed 75 hours of training in Active Release Technique and 48 hours of training from the Loomis Institute of Enzyme Therapy.
Two years ago Dr. Gradwohl moved his practice to Overland Park and renamed the office Optimal Health Center. This reflects the change in his approach to practice wanting to bring optimal health to every patient.
His practice is conservative non-surgical orthopedics of the spine and extremities. Dr. Gradwohl’s philosophy consists of treating patient’s in a three-fold approach: chemically, emotionally and structurally. This allows for optimum success in treating patients.
